We retain data for as long as it's needed to provide Model B to your school — no longer than that by default, and never for purposes beyond operating the platform.

We delete your school's data from our active systems no later than 60 days after your relationship with Model B ends, unless a longer period is required by law. Your school may also request deletion of specific data during an active relationship, subject to what's necessary to continue providing the service in the meantime.
We maintain automated, encrypted backups for disaster-recovery purposes, retained on a rolling 30-day basis. Because backups operate on their own independent schedule, a backup copy taken shortly before a deletion could persist for up to 30 additional days after your data is removed from our active systems, before being automatically and permanently overwritten. We disclose this rather than let our deletion commitment read as more absolute than it actually is.
